Its a fusion of a croissant and a muffin. Its a croissant that resembles like a muffin with different flavors and filling. Another hybrid of the infamous croissant like the croughnuts.
I was wondering if it was worth the visit since it’s the branch at Blue Bay Walk that I’ll be visiting. They open at 7:00 am and I was there around 8:00 am the smell of freshly baked pastries and breads was simply awesome.I checked the bread and pastry cases and it wasn’t filled up yet. My friend who I was meeting up was already there at 7:00 AM told me that their oven broke down and that only one was working so the breads and pastries would be delayed which was not always the case because the breads and pastries are all out by the time they open. I was assuming she did some little interview with the cashier while waiting for me. I asked the cashier immediately if they already have what I came for... the Cruffin! She sad that they still don’t have it yet and we checked with the Pรขtissier if they’ll be making some today and they said yes but because of the oven issue it could take an hour and a half to make. Yamato has an open kitchen and you can see/watch/drool as the Patissier whip up the gorgeous pastries.
We agreed to wait and got some bread and pastries that were already out. I love how Japanese bakeries makes their bread, its soooo fluffy and soft. I can’t help but remember this Anime - Yakitate!! Japan!, its about a silly boy - Kazuma Azuma, who is on a quest to make the best bread “Jap-Pan”.

The bread and pastries that came out were really gorgeous and
appetizing to look at and I was surprised that the pastries were really
affordable.

I loved the
combination of the chocolate and strawberry cream together. A must try if you would be going to Yamato. |
The Cruffin Verdict.
On a scale of 1 – 10, 10 being the highest I give it an 8.
Plus points for the staff as they were really nice and accommodating.
