Brunch at Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe

After so many failed attempts to try Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe we finally got a chance to try it out. After a quick shopping spree at F.A.S.H Boutique and Common Room, we giddily went to Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe to try it out.

My gosh, they have a lot of food offerings in the Menu. We tried out the soup of the day which was Mushroom Soup and it was delish. But I still can't get over the Mushroom Soup from Luljetta's Hanging Garden and SpaThe Bacon & Spinach Quiche was also good was not able to finish it though because we still had Paella Valenciana and Roast Pork coming.  The Paella was just OK while the Roast Pork is definitely a must try! The tender slices of oven-roasted pork served with gravy, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and rice was just devine, but then again don't just take my word for it. Go for that extra rice too! hehe :) For dessert we got the Dark Toblerone Walnut Torte and White Toblerone Walnut Torte it was so good too! ^_^

The place is inviting and the vibe is cozy.  The servers were attentive and accommodating.  Kudos to that! ^_^

Soup of the Day
Made fresh every day, served with garlic cheese rolls.

Bacon & Spinach Quiche
Savory pie filled with bacon, spinach, onion and cheese.

Paella Valenciana
An old favorite – chicken, seafood and rice sautéed in olive oil with garlic, tomatoes and chorizo.

Roast Pork
Tender slices of oven-roasted pork served with gravy, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and rice.
Dark Toblerone Walnut Torte and White Toblerone Walnut Torte
Chunky dark  and white Toblerone chocolate inside a chewy walnut torte topped with cream.

There were too many cakes and cupcakes on display that we wanted to try but was too full. A second visit is a must!  ^_^

The Parmigiano Italian Kitchen Experience

So happy to have chanced upon this little Italian restaurant in Newport Mall, the Parmigiano Italian Kitchen. From the bread basket to the last item that we ordered, they were all exceptionally good.

A must try would be the Porchetta which is a classic Italian pork roast roulade served with mashed potato and a little side salad. Oh and don't forget to ask for extra gravy its so yummy with the mashed potato. If that's not enough to satisfy your Pinoy tummy go for that extra rice too! :)

Bread Basket
with Salsa and Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar
The bread basket accompanied by salsa and olive oil with balsamic vinegar was served while we waited for the appetizer, I loved how the salsa complemented the warm toasted bread.

Caprese
Fresh mozzarella slices, basil leaves and tomato slices drizzled with olive oil
I loved how this simple salad could bring so much joy in my palate. I loved how they used fresh ingredients for this starter. It has been said that Caprese was made to resemble the colors of the Italian flag: red, white, and green.

Wagyu Carpaccio
Extra thin sliced Wagyu beef drizzled with balsamic reduction
served with arugula and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

I've always had this iffy feeling about eating raw beef, I am fine with raw fresh fish but beef? But that was until I had my first taste, It wasn't that bad, in fact i liked it. Carpaccio is an Italian appetizer which is considered as a rare treat. ^_^
.

Porchetta
Classic Italian pork roast roulade served with mashed potato.

"Order, You Must." That's me channeling my inner Yoda ^_^.

Carbonara
A classic favorite of al dente pasta with crisp pancetta, egg, cheese, and cream mixture

Bismark
Pizza with egg! A unique mix of ingredients with tomatoes, mozzarella, and prosciutto

With friends after our year end party at Parmigiano Italian Kitchen ^_^

Really good food, good ambiance, and good service and a couple of good friends, It was a lovely dinner indeed.

Date night with the Bae at 14 Four Cafe

I went to this little secret hideaway few months ago with my Bae for some QT <3. (Well.. its no longer a secret as I am about to share this wonderful place with you ^_^ ) Tucked in a quiet street somewhere in Taytay Rizal,  far away from the hustle and bustle of the metro is a quaint cafe with a lovely garden and a showroom gallery. Yep! you read that right. Intriguing right? You bet!

14 Four Cafe is a Cafe and a Showroom for Sticks designs. The place has a quirky vibe yet still has that homey feel. I'd say this place is best for some intimate dinner with the Bae or relaxed brunch with the girls. Whoever you are with, this place would definitely be a fun place to go to. 14 Four Cafe also hosts private functions and Photo shoots. Check out their website for more info.

Below are some of the snap shots I took when I visited this charming place. I have to apologize for the quality of the pics, I took these photos with an IPhone 5. ^_^v

Going to this place may be quite tricky specially if you are not familiar with the place like us, but Waze and Google Maps would be handy to get to this place. I wish to go back to this place February next year because they use to hold outdoor movie nights every February. Yiiiiiiieeee I am excited. :) Oh and one more thing, if you want to make sure you have a table when you visit and they are open it is best to call them and reserve a table.

The Bunny Baker Cafe and Cake Studio Experience

If you like cute-sy stuff, ice cream and dainty desserts then this adorable place is for you. Everything about this place spells "K-A-W-A-I-I ", from the facade, to interiors, decorations and food. I love this pink charming place.
This place is a cake studio where they can create almost any design you can think of, A visit to their IG and FB page would prove you that. They customize cakes and  cupcakes and they make coffee latte arts too, the stuff are really close to the real thing, so AWESOME! ^_^ They also hold Latte Art classes and baking classes too. Too bad I'm not good with drawing otherwise I would've signed for the Latte Art class ^_^.
